Are millennials millionaires? Or ones destined to be millionaires? Or are they the ones who make history in a million years?
Blame my lack of knowledge or my vocabulary, this is what I thought, whenever I saw the word ‘millennial’. You might be wondering why I didn’t just google it. Let’s blame laziness here.
So who are millionaires’ millennials? Millennials are those people who were born to mark the end of a millennium, like people born in and after 1980’s. So it could be said that Pakistani millennials are basically the Pakistani youth.
We see our youth frustrated. You’ll find a whole lot of negativity about Pakistani millennials but it’s always better to look at the positive side. Our youth might be frustrated but it’s filled with numerous positive qualities and we need to highlight the positivity around us.
1. Career Is Not Only In Office
Pakistani millennials have come a wide way away from the traditional successful career choices. They have proven that there’s a lot more to do and are utilizing the ease and comfort of varied careers. For most millennials, a working internet connection and a laptop are all they need to work and earn.
2. Out of The Box Thinkers
Engineers have to spend their work lives with nuts and bolts. Carpenters are the only ones for woodwork.
Millennials have broken these stereotypes. We now have engineers running successful food ventures. From a group of friends taking the concept of food cafes’ to a whole new level from having a robot serving as a waiter, a lot is changing.
People now focus on DIYs a lot more than they previously had the courage to do.
3. Change Makers
Pakistani millennials have the courage to start without depending on anyone.
There’s a dire need of working schools, especially for underprivileged and the government’s progress has not been up to the mark. Instead of depending on the authorities, you’ll find these young and passionate millennials doing they all they can with street schools.
There’s a heat wave in Ramadan and people have to go out for work. You’ll find the millennials spraying their fellows with water to make the heat bearable.
Pakistani millennials are change makers and not just change hopers.
4. See Things On A Lighter Note
Bearing the odds and calamities with a light heart takes a tremendous amount of courage.
From rising inflation to budget crisis, you’ll find a bunch of memes and jokes.
This does not make one apathetic. It’s a rare talent to control your own feelings while at the same time thinking critically to solve the issue and making it lighter and bearable for others.
5. Know The Power Of Technology
The youth has fully understood the power of technology and utilizing it to their level best. From earning to spreading awareness, millennials are fighting many battles for themselves and for the betterment of country through technology.
Innovations are being made at a rapid pace, all because the millennials know the power of technology and have the passion and talent to make it work for them.
With a bit of support and trust, Pakistani millennials can do wonders.
I have listed above some qualities of Pakistani millennials. Do comment on some qualities of millennials and your opinion.
